ART IN THE ATTIC

ALMONTE AND AREA ARTISTS ASSOCIATION (4A)

PRESENTS

ART IN THE ATTIC

9,10, 11 May (Mothers’ Day weekend)

AMAZING AFFORDABLE ART IN ALMONTE

The Art In the Attic Show and Sale (AITA) will be returning for its 24th annual appearance ! The dates this year are 9,10, 11 May (Mothers’ Day weekend) at the Almonte Old Town Hall.

As usual, the inspiring works of over twenty artists from the Almonte and Area Artist Association (4A), our special guest artist Dale Dunning, as well as guest student artists from Almonte District High School, will be showcased including a special display with the theme “Celebrating Mothers”.

Once again, at the Grand Opening on Friday evening 9 May, the Humm will judge their distinguished “Humm Selection” amongst the artwork. But what is different this year is that the 4A will be partnering with the businesses in downtown Almonte. They will help to promote both the art show and the local merchants. Artwork from 4A members will be displayed in the store fronts of downtown shops starting the second week in April, and in return, visitors to AITA will receive a gift package containing Mothers Day Weekend coupons/promotions by participating stores. Avenir Design Studio will even be putting on a fashion show at AITA on Sat 10 May at 4 pm to showcase their wonderful women’s fashion wear. The objective is to “Make It a Day” by starting at Art In The Attic and then following a suggested route downtown to enjoy the wonderful heritage and stores and restaurants for the rest of the day in beautiful downtown Almonte. 4A was looking for a more interactive arrangement with local businesses rather than just asking for sponsorship money and are hoping that this will be a win-win partnership for everyone – visitors, artists and local merchants.
